Boston's first AIIM Expo was memorable for a number of reasons - the weather was atrocious, with torrential rain most days, making it particularly difficult for the runners in the Boston Marathon which preceded the show. The show itself saw the launch of the Permanent Redaction Server Module, Daeja's new compliance and document security module for all of ViewONE Pro's 300+ file formats, including PDF.

This year's ARMA show in San Antonio promises to be an exciting one for Daeja - on display on our booth are demos of the Universal Viewing Module (due in December 06), the Document Streaming SDK (due January 07), and the Permanent Redactions SDK (also due January 07). We are also running our 'Spot the Difference' competition at the show for the chance to win a 30Gb video iPod.

Annotations within ViewONE Pro and ViewONE have extensive configuration options to allow your users to apply whatever comments, highlights or redactions (black-outs) they need to your documentation. But did you know that those same annotations can be configured for security too? You can prevent who can apply, edit, delete, print and even view markups, at a user group, individual user, document or even individual annotation level.

In this edition we announce the release of our QuickStart facility to dramatically improve the start-up time of ViewONE Pro and ViewONE Standard Edition. Enabled through a simple check box within the menus of ViewONE and ViewONE Pro, QuickStart controls the launch of the browser and the Java engine to make the next viewer start up significantly quicker.

Some of the Daeja team took a booth at the ARMA show in Chicago in September. It was Daeja's first year of exhibiting, but response was exceptional, with hundreds of visitors to the booth, and excellent feedback from everyone, including our Enterprise Content Management (ECM) vendor partners. We'll definitely be back next year!
