Unlike many viewing, mark-up and redaction solutions available on the market today, Daeja’s ViewONE and ViewONE Pro are fully customisable out-of-the-box viewing solutions with over 500 changeable parameters. Our priority is to ensure our customers benefit from toolkit-style functionality without development delays, effort and cost, and this forms the foundation of our design philosophy for every new feature and edition we release.

There are two main approaches to achieving complete configurability. The first is to use simple HTML parameters.  There are literally hundreds of options to cater for even the most demanding of applications, all of which are listed in our html.pdf manual, as part of our out-of-the-box solution.

The second approach, and possibly our most powerful feature, is achieved though our JavaScript API. This is available out-of-the box, where users can fully control just about any aspect of the viewer using simple JavaScript commands.  The first and most immediate benefit of this is the ability to keep a single instance of the viewer running while changing the document displayed. With standard HTML, this would require a refresh of the web page to reload new HTML that contains details of the new document. However using JavaScript, it becomes possible to simply inform the viewer of what documents to display and it immediately jumps into action without a web page reload. This produces a cleaner, smoother, experience for the user and can improve viewing performance significantly. 

Many companies have yet to realise that Ajax is simply a JavaScript library that is designed to achieve the same goal:  to avoid the reloading of a web page. Daeja’s customers have been doing this with ViewONE for nearly ten years!  Isn't it about time you thought about it too?
