Another
of ViewONE Pro's new options, this DjVu Module
enables viewing (and annotation if licensed)
of LizardTech's super-compressed colour document
scans within ViewONE Pro, without the need for
a separate DjVu viewer.

DjVu is
increasing in popularity as it enables organizations
to scan documentation, forms & correspondence
to color (essential for colour-coded
documentation or as a legal 'first copy' from a
handwritten original) and still save a file which
is substantially smaller than a mono
TIFF equivalent,
even at much higher resolution |

Thanks
to its layer segmentation, the DjVu
format can compress multi-megabyte files sometimes
down to as little as a few kilobytes, without a
noticeable loss of quality |
|
The
DjVu Module integrates DjVu viewing
seamlessly through the Advanced Cache Manager (ACM),
automatically for users without any need for installation
or roll-out. The ACM automatically downloads and
caches the module when it is first needed by the
user, and updates it if a newer version is posted
on your web server |
